Interesting Slam in IntoBridge
There we are in 6♠. Lia understood all my bids. Of course, this would not be possible without the "explain" feature of IntoBridge. So, Lia knows that I have 4 key cards, including the ♠K, and the ♠Q. With the singleton heart, a slam looks promising.
After the club lead, I drew all the trumps, followed by all the diamonds, discarding a small club. Now we have still the ♣A to lose, and possibly another ♣. I'm in the South hand. What to do?
Needless to say, I made the wrong decision and finessed for the ♣J at East. The interesting part starts now, and I did not see it.
The contract can be made by leading the ♣10. East will take ♣J, overtaken by the ♣K on North. Now, drawing two trumps brings West in a squeeze. If he keeps the hearts and discards the ♣8, he can be thrown in with the ♣A, and has to play into the hearts finesse.
This is hard to find. But I made it more difficult than it was on my table. Here, East discarded the ♣2. Now, playing the ♣Q works too. If the ♣A appears at East, you can still try the finesse in hearts.
