Open 2NT with 19 points?
I was the only one opening 2NT here, and the only one reaching 6♥. Nobody else made 6. Others opened 1♣, and the bidding went 1♣ - 1♥ - 2NT - 4♥. The problem with opening 2NT is that it does not communicate the ♣ suit, and partner will overestimate his ♣ singleton. Another problem is that you might miss a ♣ slam. With a 5-card minor it is better to open this minor and plan to jump to 2NT. Even if your opening is passed out, you will get a good result, while 2NT do not make if partner has nothing.
Anyway, you can make 6♥ after the ♣ lead. Cash one round of trumps and continue with the ♣K and ruffing another ♣, returning with trump and ruffing another one, which East cannot overruff. The ♣ winner allows discarding a loser. West cannot prevent you cross the table in ♦. Another idea would have been to lure out the ♦A immediately with the ♦K. This establishes enough entries.
6♥ is not the safest contract.
